Motivational Speaking

As a motivational speaker, I am passionate about inspiring mental health professionals—particularly those working in school settings—to develop and sustain meaningful, long-term programs that truly support students, families, and communities. My work focuses on helping professionals reconnect with their purpose, resilience, and passion while encouraging innovation, creativity, and commitment in the field of school-based mental health.

My speaking engagements also extend to social work students, aspiring social workers, and individuals seeking a deeper understanding of the profession and its impact. With more than 25 years of experience spanning domestic violence services, HIV-positive youth, newcomer families, foster and adoption agencies, and school social work, my presentations are grounded in real-world practice, systems-level leadership, and a deep commitment to social justice.

As the daughter of immigrant parents, I can also speak to the unique experiences of navigating multiple cultures, balancing family expectations, and finding one's voice and identity. These personal experiences have shaped both my leadership and clinical practice and allow me to connect authentically with diverse audiences.

Throughout my career, I have worked closely with foster and adoptive families, helping countless parents build strong, nurturing homes and successfully navigate the rewards and challenges of caregiving. These experiences have given me valuable insight into family systems, resilience, and the transformative power of supportive relationships.

A central theme of my presentations is mental health leadership and the importance of relationship-centered leadership in schools and organizations. I believe leaders must model the culture they hope to create—leading with authenticity, connection, respect, and support. Strong relationships are the foundation of effective teams, sustainable programs, and positive outcomes for those we serve.

Above all, my greatest passion is inspiring others to discover and pursue their own passion. Whether speaking to seasoned professionals, emerging leaders, students, or community members, I strive to help people reconnect with the work that gives them purpose, recognize the impact they can have on others, and embrace opportunities to create meaningful change. Social work is more than a profession—it is a calling—and I am deeply committed to honoring and uplifting those who dedicate their lives to helping others.
